Running several timers at once

  1. Add a timer with a name and a time, or use a quick button such as + 5 min. You can rename any timer by typing over its name.
  2. Start each one when its job begins, or press Start all. Every timer has its own Start, Reset, + 1 min and remove buttons.
  3. Listen for the pitch. Each timer rings in its own colour and at its own pitch, so with two alarms at once you can tell which pan, sample or player is up.

Twelve timers fit in the bay. They are saved in this browser with their end times, so a reload or an accidental tab close does not lose them: running timers carry on counting from the moment they were started. Silence alarms stops every ringing timer without resetting the others.

Typical uses are a full dinner with several dishes, lab incubations, board-game turns, classroom stations and laundry with a dryer running at the same time.

Questions

Do all the timers keep running in the background?

Yes. Each one stores the moment it will end and its alarm is scheduled ahead on the audio clock, so they keep correct time and ring on time while you use another tab.

Why did the example timers not start by themselves?

Nothing starts until you press Start, so you can rename or remove the examples first. Remove all clears the bay for your own timers.

Can two timers end at the same moment?

They can, and both alarms sound at their own pitch. The finished timers blink until you start, reset or remove them.
