# Privacy

In short: the timers run inside your browser, nothing you type into them is sent to us, and there are no accounts, cookies or adverts.

## What stays on your device

To remember your timers between visits, the pages save some data in your browser's local storage: the colour theme; the countdown's time, label, alarm settings and, while it runs, its end time; the stopwatch's start time and laps; the interval workout settings; the Pomodoro lengths, task name, current session and today's tally of focus sessions; the last date countdown; and the list of multiple timers with their names. This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

## Share links and calendar files

When you copy a share link from the countdown to a date, the event name, date, time and time zone are written into the link itself, after the # sign. Browsers do not send that part of a link to the server; the page reads it in the browser. Anyone you give the link to can see those details. The .ics calendar file is created in your browser and saved straight to your device.

## Sound and screen

Alarms and beeps are generated by your browser's Web Audio engine; no sound files are downloaded and nothing is recorded. The microphone and camera are never used. Where your browser supports it, the Screen Wake Lock option asks the browser to keep the display on while a timer runs; it is released when the timer stops.

## Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which Cloudflare adds to the pages to count visits. It does not use cookies or track you across other sites, and it never receives what you type into the timers. It records things such as the page visited, the referring site, the browser and the country, in aggregate.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. As with any website, Cloudflare's servers handle the requests your browser makes for the pages, scripts and fonts, and may keep standard technical logs to run and protect the service. Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.

## Links to other sites

Pages link to other sites, including our sister sites and the CleanTempMail and WebTraceCheck services. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you follow a link.
